Product Update: PDF Presentations and Clicker for Webex Events Production Studio

Event App 46.0
Studio 2.13.0

This month's release is bringing two great updates to our Production Studio. Grab your presentations and come to Production Studio! We now offer the ability to upload your PDF Presentations and present them easily with the Clicker from your mobile device. Keep reading to find out more!

PDF Presentations

We are excited to introduce another highly requested feature in Webex Events Production Studio. It will now be possible for both producers and speakers to upload their presentations in PDF format and use them onstage.

From the new Add button, producers and speakers can access the Presentation gallery and add presentations or access previously uploaded ones. After uploaded, the presentation can be added as a card backstage. The card will be visible both to the producers and the speakers. It has arrows for the next and previous slides, as well as an option to jump to any slide.

Another great part of this release is that Presentations can be edited in the Studio. In the edit modal, users can preview the slides, add or edit slide transitions, update the presentation name, and enable or disable Clicker for the presentation. We will talk more about the awesome Clicker in the upcoming section.

Clicker

With Webex Events Production Studio, you no longer have to say, “next slide, please!” during your presentations. We are excited to introduce the new Clicker that enables speakers to effortlessly navigate between the slides of the presentation from their mobile devices.

Clicker settings in the studio and clicker page on the mobile device
By scanning the QR Code on the stage card or in the Settings modal, Clicker can be opened in mobile devices. If the Clicker is active and there is a presentation onstage, users will see a page displaying the Studio’s name, presentation name, slide number, and left/right arrows that allow presenters to navigate to the next or previous slide onstage.

Things to know about Clicker:

  • Speakers can enable or disable Clicker for the presentations they upload.
  • In the Settings modal, there’s a URL for the Clicker that can be used to access it.
  • Producers can change the Clicker URL by clicking on the Refresh Clicker button on the Settings page.

Read our PDF Presentations and Clicker in Webex Events Productions Studio article for the deep dive and be sure to explore these new changes on the Webex Events platform!
