Product Update: Attendance Management

The Attendance Management setting in sessions provides more control over how your attendees can interact with your event's agenda. With Attendance Management options, you're able to show your attendees when a session has limited space or even close off a session until you are ready for them to add it to their My Agenda!

New Session Options

Open

This is the default option and has no limits on how many or when people can add the session to their My Agenda.

Limited

This option requires that you set the maximum number of attendees that can add this session to their My Agenda, and won't let attendees add it once the maximum number you set has been reached. When the session is full and attendees try to add it, they'll be shown the following message, or a customized denial message if you so desire:


Closed

This option won't let attendees add the session to their My Agenda. When attendees try to add it, they'll see the following message, or a customized  denial message if you so desire:


Implement Attendance Management

You can set up Attendance Management options for each session on your agenda. You'll also be able to view how many attendees have added the session to their My Agenda at any time. 

Simply navigate to a specific session in the Socio Platform and scroll down to the Attendance Management area to see all of the options.

The New Socio Platform

The direction of event apps is changing, and there is no stopping this change. As a result, it is up to those who are in the event space to help build the path and expectations for where the industry is going. Socio plans on playing a big part in laying out that path. With pioneers of their respective industries like Google, TEDx, and Harvard University trusting Socio, the groundwork has been laid to lead the event app industry forward.

One thing that never dwindles is our passion for building attendee and organizer centered solutions. This means empowering our event organizers to construct their events in the way they dreamed. With this initiative at our root, our team is able to grant event organizers with events big and small the ability to deliver the experience their attendees crave.


Introducing the New Socio Event App Builder. 

Today we are excited to announce something that our team has been working on over the past few months. This is the all new Socio Platform! With this complete redesign of our Platform, we are bringing forward the ability for a powerful event app through extreme customization. And as the saying goes, with great power comes great responsibility, which is why we paid the utmost attention on making sure that the process remained simple by being both intuitive and efficient.


What’s new:

Complete Customization

First of all, it is YOUR event! And no-one knows your attendees better than you, which is why we allow you to both customize and control the content throughout the app creation process.


Intuitive Design

By using simple yet power features like drag-and-drop, the all-new Event App Builder presents your content in the same format your attendees will see and allows you to manage from the same screen. While it sounds straightforward, the importance of allowing you to build your app from the same eyes of your attendees should not be overlooked.


Import

We now will allow you to provide us with your Agenda, Speakers, Sponsors, and more. As a result, you are no longer required to enter everything one-by-one.


Control anywhere

With a new mobile responsive design, our Event App Builder allows you to oversee your event using your computer from your office, the tablet you carry around while preparing for your event, or from the phone in your pocket during your event at all times! We made sure our product works when your event needs you because your event isn’t run from your office, so neither should your software!


Enterprise Level Collaboration

Some events can’t be managed by one person. For this reason, we have built an enterprise level ability to manage and edit events as a team.


App Preview with Real-time Updates

We allow you to build your app and see the changes happen live on your phone. It is important to make sure that you are able to feel and experience exactly what your attendees will, which is why we allow to check out and update your app in real-time. Come see how it works in our webinar!

Advanced Linking

Now this is just cool. Add Item Links, Custom Links, and Attachments everywhere. Event planners know an image is worth a 1000 words, and I’m not sure how to simplify this, so join me in one of our webinars (register below) to see!


There’s more… Socio App Updates!

At the end of the day, after supporting hundreds of event planners, I have learned you are all selfless people. The reason being: the event is about the attendees. This reason has always been and will continue to be a spotlight for Socio. With that in mind, here is a recap of just some of the features we added to our apps as well:

Event Wall

It is your attendees that truly make up an event, and it is important to allow them to make it known. This is why we allow a wall for attendees to make posts and for everyone to be able engage with each other.

Chat / Request Meetings

Making and building connections is the most important part of any event, so we broke down the barrier to chat and setup meetings between attendees.

Agenda Tracks and Personal Agenda

There is not just one reason why all attendees come to your event. This is important to remember. So now we allow you to group your sessions into different tracks allowing your attendees to see the tracks they are most interested in. Furthermore, we allow them to actually build out their own personal agenda before they event show up!

Categorize your Sponsors, Speakers, and more!

Your sponsors and speakers are not all the same and equal. And it is important for your attendees to be able to see the different. We allow now allow you to categorize your items how you see fit!

Available everywhere: 

Blackberry, Windows Phones, Tablets, Computers, we handle them all. With our new read-only web-app, your attendees can access the event from anywhere.


 


New integrations (Lyft)

We love when our event organizers push us and as a result, we have built some awesome integrations . One of our favorites is an integration with Lyft to help attendees easily navigate through 15 different locations in a single event!
